Aeration Core Aeration removes thousands of soil cores, just like on golf courses, to allow for root expansion, and better air, water and nutrient percolation. Encourages thatch breakdown and reduces soil compaction. Core aeration also prunes the roots, and helps break down thatch. Overseeding At the time of aeration we also offer an overseeding for the entire lawn. Overseeding at this time is best since many of the seedlings will germinate in the aeration holes that are 1-1/2 inches deep, this established a deep root system.
